UPCOMING EVENTS
EMPC will participate in the Town of Garner's annual "Trick or Treat the Trails" Halloween event again this year. The event is Tuesday, October 31 from 3 pm - 6 pm. We need CANDY and VOLUNTEERS to work the table. We will pass out candy to all the little goblins! This is a fun event and is well attended by the community. Please share your ideas for handouts at this event. Happy Halloween!
November 2 - 5, 2017 at Camp Dixie (Fayetteville). This is an intensive 3-day Christian experience. Grace & Growth are combined in an exciting and energetic way. If you would like to attend, let Pastor John know.
These 5 gallon buckets will contain disaster relief cleaning supplies (list of supplies and buckets provided). We will store the filled buckets. We want to respond immediately to disaster relief needs. We will continue to replinish bucket inventory.

Walk/Run/Swim/Cycle to Jerusalem during Lent!
Jerusalem is 6,000 miles from Ernest Myatt!
Lace up those shoes
Grab your family members
Grab your dog (if you have one)
And get to walking, running,
biking, swimming or any other sport you can collect miles
Who can be involved? Everyone! 2,000 steps = a mile! Invite a friend, invite a fellow member to exercise with you.
Report your miles to Craig by Thursday of each week. Text, email or phone call. We will keep a running total of our miles and watch our progression! We want to be there for Easter (April 16th)! We will worry about getting back when we get there.
Don't know how far you walked, ran or biked? Download a fitness app (great examples are: "Runkeeper", "Walk Your Dog" (app also donates to animal charity of your choosing based on your mileage), "cyclemeter") to your ipod or smartphone. Run the app every time you exercise and track you mileage.
Get started running, walking, swimming, cycling, or any other sport now! A successful trip will be accomplished by us all participating. Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice on the cross for us. Let us never forget this.
