Thank you all for helping with Relay for Life!

Thank you to everyone that volunteered in some way for Relay for Life! Ernest Myatt PC raised $2800 and donations can still be made though August 1st.

Property Workday

Many of us came out for Property Workday on Sunday, April 16. We were able to get a lot done around the outside grounds. Plants were added in the front, tree limbs were collected, railings and the bell stand were painted and roofs were cleaned off. Big round of applause to everyone that came out to help including Dixie Johnson. The grounds are really looking good!

Confirmations

Yesterday (Sunday, March 27th) was a great day for Ernest Myatt Presbyterian Church. Not only was it Easter Sunday and we had a packed house but we also baptized one of our youth and confirmed six youth.

Congratulations Sean Chandler, Carson and Emma Cain, Ryan Hutchinson and Claire and Ranleigh DeSoto! EMPC Congregation is proud of you all!

Need Volunteers to host a Youth Choir from Virginia

We have an opportunity to a Youth Choir Concert from a VA Presbyterian Church choir who is touring this Summer. The concert would be Tuesday, June 28th and there is no fee. We will need to provide a dinner & housing for 30 youth plus about 5 adults. If you can house 2-3 youth the night of the 28th, breakfast the 29th plus transport back to the church, we need to know by this Sunday, March 20th. Please email Mary-Anna at haletigger@juno.com if you can host. There will be a sign up sheet in the commons area this Sunday as well. This is a wonderful opportunity to hear a wonderful youth choir! Thank you! 

CALLING ALL CHILDREN! Join Us After Worship this Sunday the 13th.

Join the Children's Choir. We will meet after Worship every Sunday for about 30-45 minutes. Michelle and Karen Buffaloe will be working on a different song each week with the children. They will perform the anthem every 4th Sunday of the month. We hope to see all of our EMPC Children through 5th grade starting this Sunday, March 13th.

We are approximately ONE month away from the official Spring and we have many upcoming events. 

• February 28- Committee Fair. Ever wonder what the committees are and what they do and if you fit with any of them? Well here is your chance to discover those answers. There will be representatives from each committee as well as the Men of the Church, Women's Bible Study Group, and the Joy Group in the commons area immediately following worship. 
• March 6- Annual Meeting with a covered dish lunch. Each committee will give a report to update the congregation. This will take place in the Wright Hall immediately following worship. Don't forget to bring a dish to share. 
• March 20- First day of Spring and the Easter Cantata
• March 27- Easter. There will be an Easter Community Service at 6:30 am at Lake Wheeler
• April 16- Spring Workday 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
• April 22- Relay For Life- Lake Benson starting at 4:00 pm. Get your ice cream makers ready! Join our Team or donate here!
• July 10-14- Cave Quest: Following Jesus the Light of the World Vacation Bible School. Dinner will be served at 5:30 pm and VBS will start at 6:00 pm each day for ages 3 years to 6th grade.
